>> Here’s a quick thought… Public Schools always celebrate a little thing called “red ribbon week.” Well, since my elementary days I have took part in this ritual and as I look back I don’t think it has done much good (if any at all). I say instead of trying to cover up where we have missed helping students with drugs and alcohol, why don’t we get to the source of what’s making them do that stuff? I have the opportunity to deal with some of the ”problem students” if you will every morning during my first block and today I heard a girl say, “I dont care” as in she didn’t care about smoking and getting caught. And it got to me. So as a leader I hope that when we have >>refuel, I want to get to the source of those struggling with these addictions and let them know that Jesus can help them. Not another poster with some lame slogan like “hugs not drugs.”
